My One Year Post-Operation Hospital Visit!

Since I previously posted my one-year update (my last blog post), I don't have a ton of new information to update you guys on, so this post only includes my hospital visit.

On Wednesday my dad and I made the trip over to Vancouver to have my one-year post-operation appointment! At my appointment I had X-rays and saw my surgeon. He said that my progress was amazing and that my spine was fully fused! That means that I no longer have any weight restrictions (previously 10/15 pounds), and that I also had no activity restrictions! I'm so excited to be able to run again, jump, or whatever activity that I wish to do! It will also be amazing to not have to do two or three grocery trips per week (due to my previous weight limit restricting how many food items I could get at once)!

These are my most recent before versus after X-rays!

My surgeon said that he doesn't think I'll have any problems going forward and that because I'm fit and continued working out my recovery was shorter than average! Once again, thank you to everyone for all of your support and words of encouragement! I will be aiming to post a new and updated workout routine soon!

My surgeon Dr. Ghag and I!

The next post-operation appointment will be for my two year post-op!

This blog is my own personal experience and journey with Scoliosis. It is not a medical blog, and if anyone has concerns about their own health, they should see a physician.

This article provides a meaningful and personal reflection on a one-year post-operation hospital visit. I appreciated the honesty and openness in sharing the recovery journey, including the challenges, progress, and emotions that often accompany major medical procedures. Personal health stories like this can be incredibly valuable because they offer encouragement, perspective, and reassurance to others who may be navigating similar experiences. The article highlights the importance of ongoing care, resilience, and celebrating milestones throughout the recovery process. As someone who also follows healthcare, wellness, and patient-awareness discussions through Healthmedsrx, I truly value content that promotes understanding, hope, and informed conversations about recovery and long-term health journeys.
